The Scene-based Wavefront Sensor
Imaging systems are frequently deployed on either airborne or orbiting platforms to gather intelligence about selected scenes.
OPC’s solution consists of the development of an adaptive optics system that uses the actual scene as the measurement source which enables correction for all of the aberration degrading disturbances from the primary mirror to the imaging focal plane array (FPA) in one simple measurement.
Wavefront sensors developed at OPC provide:
- Scalable designs with apertures from meters to centimeters
- Custom manufactured to user specifications
- High tilt accuracy measured in nanoradians
- High phasing accuracy measured in picometers
